Earlier this week I made a video for the Bob’s Red Mill Spar for the Spurtle contest. To enter the contest, you must create an original recipe using Bob’s Red Mill Steel Cut Oats. Two stove top burners are the only powered appliances that you are allowed to use. That means, no ovens, no grills, no stand mixers, or anything else that requires power. And you must be able to prepare your recipe in 30 minutes.
Once you have created your recipe you must create a 3 minutes (or less) video that details the recipe and why you should get a chance to “Spar for the Spurtle”. The video submission period is now over and the videos can be found on the Bob’s Red Mill Spar For The Spurtle website.
Bob’s Red Mill will choose 3 people who submitted a video to compete in a cook-off that will take place on August 10th. The winner of the cook-off will win a trip to Scotland to help represent the Bob’s Red Mill team in the “Golden Spurtle World Porridge Making Championship”.
